Jugon - 'une petite cité de caractère' is a one of those 'must visit' places in the Cotes d'Armor - with it's fabulous lake, traditional Breton buildings and musical evenings in the square (every Friday in Summer). There are several good restaurants/bars where you can dine/drink outside in the sunshine and soak up the atmosphere.
On a practical level it also has 2 bread shops, a supermarket, a newsagents (that sells English newspapers), 2 banks, a post office and a tourist office.


The large lake, actually situated at the end of Rue du Chateau, offers excellent fishing and walking as well as the opportunity to take part in numerous water-sports. There is also an outdoor swimming pool, with children's water slides!
Finally if golf is your interest there are also numerous excellent golf courses within easy reach.

The beautiful medieval town of Dinan with its chateau, cobbled streets, numerous restaurants and cafés as well as a variety of hypermarkets can be reached in just 10-15 minutes. The ferry port at St. Malo is less than 40 minutes away and the Airport at Dinard only 25 minutes.
Many excellent beaches are also within a 25-30 minute drive.

Details of the house are as follows:-
On the ground floor there is large open plan living area with log fire and comfortable furniture. 'Free to view' English satellite TV is provided for guests' use( plus a video and a selection of English videos) and also as a music centre as well books and games.
The lounge area leads into a very well equipped country style kitchen ( it has a double oven, double sink, microwave, toaster kettle etc .) containing a dining table and chairs. You can open French doors onto a small south facing balcony which overlooks the patio garden - ideal for relaxing, or barbecuing.( garden furniture provided)
There is also a downstairs cloakroom/wc.

A traditional winding Breton staircase takes you up to the first floor where there are two elegant bedrooms - l double and one twin ( with extra 'put up bed' if required) and a large shower room with wc.

On the second floor there is the master 'suite' containing a king sized bed , desk , sofa and bathroom area with ' large roll top bath', 'two person multi-jet shower', sink and wc.

The basement houses the washing machine as well as two bicycles, fishing rods and tennis racquets for guests to use and there is also a large garage if you prefer off street parking.

There is electric heating throughout the house - making it ideal for lettings throughout the year.

N.B. All bedding and linen and some wood for winter lets is included in the price
