The house is situated in a pretty hamlet just outside the village of Mégrit in the picturesque countryside of the Cotes d'Armor. It is only 40 minutes from the port of St. Malo and 30 minutes from the nearest beaches. Bustling medieval Dinan is 15 minutes drive and Brittany's capital Rennes is under an hours drive away
The house is extremely comfortable having been finished and decorated by the French owner to a very high standard. It is surrounded by it's own extensive gardens, which contain an ancient bread oven, and there are woods to the rear where one of the local 'sentiers' (marked footpaths) leads you down to the valley and past a local lake.
Ample garden furniture is provided for eating 'alfresco'or sunbathing and there is also a barbecue for guests to use.

It is only a couple of minutes drive (or a half an hour's walk)to the village of Megrit - where there is a newly opened restaurant/bar, a 'boulangerie' and a very well stocked mini-market to save you having to go too far for your other shopping.

The very pretty towns of Jugon Les Lacs and Plelan-Le-Petit are only a short drive away - between them they have plenty of good restaurants, bars, shops , banks ,post offices etc… as well as a horse riding, an open air swimming pool and large lake with water sports and fishing..

The accommodation is as follows:

As you enter the ground floor with it's traditional stone tiles ( which are heated from beneath in winter) there is a brand new fitted kitchen containing a table and chairs.
It is fully equipped with everything you will need for a self catering holiday.
The appliances include a fitted electric oven and a gas hob, coffee maker, fridge freezer, microwave AND a dishwasher to save all that washing up!!

The kitchen opens out into a large dining area with another table and chairs ( and baby's high chair), traditional Breton 'bureau' and music centre with a selection of cd/ cassettes for guests to use.

A lovely archway leads into the lounge with it's sofa, chairs and coffee table.
A traditional log burning stove sits in a lovely stone fire place and there is French TV with a DVD player. There is a dartboard and other games provided for guests' use.

Another archway leads you from the kitchen into an open space containing children's toys making it ideal for children to play here and there is a downstairs WC and a utility room which houses the washing machine.

The first floor comprises of a large landing/reading area with large traditional 'armoir' and there is a baby's swing attached to one of the beams.
There is one large 'triple/quad' bedroom (single beds currently but the owner may be changing these for bunk beds) containing a large wardrobe and also a single bedroom plus a baby's cot .
The bathroom is also on this floor - it has a corner bath, wash hand basin and a separate shower cubicle. The water is heated 'continuously - ideal for larger parties.

On the second floor there are two double bedrooms both with 'velux' windows giving beautiful views of the surrounding countryside.

For the more active in your party there are golf and tennis facilities nearby as well as several outdoor swimming pools. The area is also ideal for walking and cycling.

This property really does has to offer all you could want from a holiday home!
